50 Cent makes Xbox and PlayStation return

28 Mar 2008 16:54

50 Cent Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 gamers can expect to see hip-hop superstar 50 Cent and his G Unit friends on their screens soon, it has emerged.

Sierra Entertainment, a division of Vivendi Games, has revealed the rapper will make his second appearance in the video game world in the sequel to 2005's Bulletproof, alongside Lloyd Banks, Tony Yayo and DJ Whoo Kid.

The artists will lend their voice to the characters along with their likenesses in 50 Cent: Blood on the Sand and according to the rapper, fans can expect the game to build on the original.

"We are taking this sequel to the next level with exciting combat and gunplay, new original music, great graphics and a new story … 50 Cent: Blood on the Sand will have everything," he said.

Following the release of 50 Cent's third album last year, inthenews.co.uk reported that the record would do little to help a genre of music already suffering from "accusations of misogyny and the glorification of gun crime".
