Computer generated (CG) action epic Beowulf could be available on HD DVD as soon as February, according to themanroom.com.The website reports that online entertainment retailer HD Addicts has advised home cinema fans that they can expect to get their hands on the film around February 26th and that the movie could be sold in the same week as a number of other big releases.
It is reported that the Blu-ray release of 30 Days of Night is also expected around this date as well as the dual format launch of Brad Pitt's latest, The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford.
It has not yet been revealed whether the film will be available on Blu-ray, however, as the film is distributed by Warner Bros - which has yet to side exclusively with either format - a dual format release is a possibility.
The movie stars Ray Winstone as the eponymous warrior charged with the task of defeating the mighty Grendel - a dragon-like creature who has terrorised the inhabitants of a nearby Danish town for many years.
