New DVD player is 'bargain of the century'

US-based consumer electronics manufacturer Oppo has released a new DVD player that Trusted Reviews believe represents one of the "bargains of the century".According to a new review for the site, the DV-980HD comes with a range of "mind-blowing" features and despite being technically better than its DV-981HD predecessor is actually cheaper.
The unit comes with a range of connectivity options including HDMI and the article notes that these make it an ideal player for those interested in upscaling the picture quality of their DVDs without opting for a high definition replacement - such as Blu-ray.
"Its top-notch picture and sound performance, attractive slimline looks and solid build quality make it an even more appealing package … overall this is one of the best-value DVD decks on the market right now," the review concludes.
Oppo currently does not have a UK distributor; however, the manufacturer's products can be accessed online.
