Onkyo unveils home entertainment system

The new Onkyo home entertainment system is sure to keep the whole family entertained Onkyo, a manufacturer of specialist consumer electronics, has unveiled the HT-SP908, a new home entertainment system featuring just about everything video and audio-philes could ever dream of.

Sure to be on more than a few people's Christmas lists this year, the new all-inclusive home theatre system features high definition 1080p video and studio quality audio, in DTS-HD Master Audio, 7.1 Dolby True HD or Dolby Digital Plus, with wall-mountable 90-watt per channel speakers and a 230-watt subwoofer.

With HDMI, component, optical and coaxial audio ins and outs, the system can connect to just about any device and is comfortable playing back DVDs, CDs, CD-R/RWs, DVD+/- R/RWs, MP3s, WMVs, MPEG 4, DivX and JPEG formats, and is equally happy accessing media files stored on an iPod or computer.

The system also makes use of cutting edge technology, such as Audyssey 2EQ Auto Speaker Calibration, which utilises a number of different calibration points to ensure the listening "sweet spot" in larger rooms is as big as possible.
