Blu-ray disc contest

10 May 2007 12:29

Blu-ray discs Have you ever spent a sleepless night wondering what you would do if you ever got your hands on the nuts and bolts of some of that new-fangled technology everyone seems to be talking about?

Well, you can stop chewing on your pillow and start putting your well-laid plans into action - if you fancy a trip to California that is - because software developer Ensequence has launched a Blu-ray disc contest.

In partnership with Twentieth Century Fox Home Entertainment (TCFHE), Panasonic and Sun Microsystems, the company is offering members of the Java community the chance to dally with its Ensequence on-Q Create suite and develop interactivity for Blu-ray disc titles.

The 60-day contest is being held at the JavaOne conference in San Francisco. Open to contestants from all over the world, it runs until July 7th, 2007.

And here's the best bit - prizes include a Panasonic plasma TV, a Panasonic Blu-ray disc player and Twentieth Century Fox Blu-ray disc releases.
