Tsk tsk, mangotangoers, it appears that something is seriously awry. According to a new study, a whole bunch of you are completely unaware just how fantabulous your PS3s and your Xbox 360s really are.Yes, we're going to break this gently, but a substantial proportion of you don't know that these nifty little machines are capable of playing second-generation DVDs. Shocking stuff!
The NPD Group report, entitled Next Gen Functionality & Usage, has revealed that a whopping 40 per cent of PlayStation 3 owners have no idea that their console isn't just for gaming, but that it can be used for watching Blu-ray Discs too.
Perhaps even more astonishingly, 50 per cent don't have a clue that they can get high-res graphics on the PS3 either.
And as if that wasn't bad enough 70 per cent - yes, 70 - of people with an Xbox 360 are also in the dark when it comes to HD, being that they are totally unaware that the console can play HD DVDs.
Which means that a whole lot of people are missing out on a whole lot of great entertainment.
So what are you lot waiting for?! Go and get yourselves some top-notch Blu-ray Discs or HD DVDs, whack them in your consoles, and start watching!
