26 Jun 2007 12:04

Buy affordable LCD monitors from Viewsonic As music legend Vanilla Ice once said - stop, collaborate and listen. Because mangtango has some juicy technology goss for you.

Yesterday (that was Monday - see how up to the minute we are? We're almost as hip as Mr Ice…) Viewsonic released not one, not two, but three brand new LCD monitors, to provide you dear consumer with the opportunity to get your hands on something that will increase your HD viewing pleasure.

The new displays were previewed at the National Education Computing Conference in Atlanta, Georgia, and included the 19-inch VA916, which is a traditional 4:3 display, as well as the 17-inch VA1716w and 19-inch VA1916w - both of which allow panoramic HD viewing on the desktop.

Not only are all of these monitors Windows Vista Basic Certified, but they are also highly affordable. The VA1716w, with its recommended retail price of just $209 (£105) has a 1440x900 native resolution and 500:1 contrast ratio, while the VA1916w has a 2000:1 dynamic contrast ratio and a RRP of $229 (£114).

And don't forget the VA916! This 19-inch wonder has a 4:3 aspect ratio, 2000:1 dynamic contrast ratio and a 1280x1024 native resolution. All for just $239 (£119).

Commenting on the new products, Jeff Volpe, vice president of marketing for ViewSonic Americas, said: "These latest displays reflect ViewSonic's ongoing commitment to meeting the needs of the education market. Our VA Series of displays deliver the features and performance to make the most of a customer's technology budget."
