Major Blu-ray releases from Disney

It may seem like a long way away, but rest assured, the festive season will sneak up on you quicker than you can say mince pie. As such, we will do our best to get you prepared - for your shopping needs at least!So, pay attention, because we've already got some good info for you.
Disney has announced today (Friday) that it is to release a slew of its classic films on Blu-ray under the banner of the "Platinum series" i.e. the films that the company is especially proud of.
Admittedly, these Blu-ray Discs aren't actually going to hit the shops until next year, but still - we've got you thinking and hopefully planning ahead anyway!
The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe will be released next spring and in the summer you will be able to get your hands on National Treasure.
Then in autumn (right in time for all that wonderful festiveness!) Disney will release Finding Nemo and Sleeping Beauty.
Bob Chapek, president of Walt Disney Studios home entertainment, said: "The Platinum titles are the crown jewels of the Disney Studios and we do not take releasing them lightly on any format.
"The proven Blu-ray technology has allowed us to take our films to new heights, fully utilizing the larger capacity and interactive capabilities for an incredible all-new consumer experience."
