Motorized mounts offer glare-free viewing

Wall mounting is popular but can be a "challenge" Avoiding glare when mounting a flat panel LCD or plasma TV can be tricky, but one company has come up with an innovative solution, it has emerged.

Fox Business reports this week that as more people look to upgrade their old cathode ray TVs, it may be natural to want their shiny new panels hung on their living room wall but that natural light does not always make this possible.

However, it is noted that one company, Clo Systems, has come up with a set of new remote-controlled, motorised wall mounts that aim to eradicate any issues of glare.

The X-arm system is reportedly the first of its kind from the company and sits hidden behind the panel and can extend the screen to from 4.6 to 12 inches from the wall as well as swivel left, right, up and down until the viewer is happy with the picture.

Ken Nguyen, director of sales and marketing at Systems, said: "If you know how to use a remote control for your TV you can easily use this remote … It's no different than using a TV remote."
