Shuttle Inc. Launched PC for Home Theatre Personal Computer enthusiastic Are you struggling to work out what the acronym in the title stands for? Shame on you, you're supposed to be a techie! Oh alright, we'll tell you, but only if you promise to come back tomorrow and read more of mangotango's fabulous news. Good, that's settled.

All you Home Theatre Personal Computer (we kept our part of the bargain…) fans out there need to pay close attention to this, as do the folk who are keen to start watching all their favourite high-def programmes, films and video clips via their computer rather than their telly.

Shuttle Inc has launched a small form factor (SFF) PC featuring its High-Definition Multimedia Interface (HDMI) - aimed at those who want a PC capable of playing the HD material they are so keen to see on a computer screen.

The Shuttle XPC Barebone SG33G5 (so called because it is a 'barebones' kind of PC) has a wide-range of features, including two Quad Intel CPUs, a 250 watt power supply and an Intel g33 Bearlake chipset. What's more, it can support Core 2 Duo and core, and can take up to 4GB of ram.

Tom Seiffert, head of marketing and PR for Shuttle, commented: "SFF PCs are HD-ready now and can easily be connected to HD-ready screens."
