The BDP-LX70: New Blu-ray Disc player by Pioneer Itching to get all the latest information about every tip-tip electronic product on the market, aren't you?

Well, lucky for you that we at mangotango understand your insatiable thirst for all things technical and keep you from being parched by giving you all the goss.

Ready for another story? Ok. Pioneer has announced a shiny new Blu-ray Disc player for the Japanese market. Ta-dah! Oh alright, we know that it might be a bit of a stretch getting to Japan to buy a new telly, but at least we told you about it.

Anyway, listen to some of the exciting details. The BDP-LX70, to give it its proper name, supports next-generation audio formats including Dolby Digital Plus and Dolby TrueHD. What's more, it has a dual-layered chassis to minimise vibration.

And as an added bonus it employs the Home Media Gallery, a Local Area Network (LAN) function which means it can be connected to a PC and play the video, music, or photos that are stored on the computer.

This new Blu-Ray Disc player will be available in Japan by the end of June this year for a recommended retail price of JPY170,000 (£710.89).
