New computer monitors from Samsung

Playing computer games could be even better with a new monitor A new range of computer monitors designed to offer an "enhanced" experience to consumers looking to buy such an item has been launched by Samsung Electronics America.

The 25.5-inch SyncMaster 2693HM and the 24-inch SyncMaster 2493HM monitors are aimed at both consumers and commercial customers.

Offering 1080p HD resolution and HDMI inputs, the monitors are designed to meet the needs of consumers seeking better image quality and improved audiovisual input.

Young Bae, product manager for Samsung's display group, said that consumers now look to computer monitors to provide both entertainment and multimedia solutions.

"By combining built-in speakers with exceptional image quality and ergonomic capabilities, this series of displays is an excellent choice for any personal and professional user who seeks a superior multimedia experience and advanced motion graphics," he claimed.

Last year, Samsung added to its range of plasma TVs with the launch of the 42-inch and 50-inch Q97 models.

Rob Shaw, product manager at Samsung, said that the Q97 is a "stunning plasma television".
