Mortensen plays Russian gangster Nikolai David Cronenberg's latest movie is set to be released on Blu-ray next month amid Oscar buzz for the film and its lead actor.

According to Blu-ray.com, Pathe Distribution is set to release the film on February 25th alongside a DVD release with a number of extras including the Secrets and Stories and Marked for Life featurettes.

The film tells the story of a Russian crime family operating in London and its collision with the world of a midwife investigating the death of a young mother who dies in childbirth.

One of the men connected with the mob, Nikolai Luzhin, is played by Lord of the Rings star Viggo Mortensen in his second film with David Cronenberg at the helm.

The film was recently being nominated for a Golden Globe, which are often seen as an indicator of how films and actors will perform in the race to secure an Oscar in February.
