15 May 2007 14:00If you are one of those eager consumers who are preparing to confine their DVD player to a dusty box in the attic and replace it with a shiny new Blu-Ray Disc player, read on.
If you have no idea what Blu-ray is, you certainly will in a few months time and so you'd better read on anyway.
Panasonic prides itself on being one of the leading developers of Blu-ray Disc technology, so you'll no doubt be tickled pink to learn that the electronics company has launched a new Blu-ray Disc player.
The DMP-BD10A is a next generation Blu-ray Disc player, and is available as of today (May 15th) for a recommended retail price of $599.95.
This spangly piece of equipment features an audio upgrade package that delivers high-end surround audio, and comes with five Blu-ray discs including Pirates of the Caribbean: Curse of the Black Pearl.
Gene Kelsey, Panasonic's vice president, commented: "Panasonic is deeply committed to the success of Blu-ray. High definition entertainment is a truly unique experience and nothing powers the HD experience like Blu-ray.
"With that in mind, we feel strongly about providing the ultimate high definition entertainment to the consumer."
Moreover, the DMP-BD10A also plays conventional DVDs and CDs.
