Panasonic releases firmware upgrade for Blu-ray player
01 Jun 2007 11:48Electronics firm Panasonic has released a firmware upgrade for its DMP-BD10 and DMP-BD10a Blu-ray disc player.
The player from the trusted Japanese firm is renowned for its excellent picture quality on both Blu-ray and DVD, as well as its sleek design.
Now a firmware upgrade is available on Panasonic's website, which is designed to fix "playability and stability" issues.
Owners can download the version 2.1 update by simply selecting 'Display' on the unit and following the instructions on screen.
Blu-ray promises to offer a viewing experience that is "beyond high definition". The DMP-BD10 offers pictures with a resolution of up to 1080p, together with 7.1-channel surround sound.
As well as 15 billion pixel-per-second processing, it also comes with HDAVI Control, which allows the user to link up a compatible TV and receiver, so that both units can be controlled at the same time.
