According to consumer electronics website Digital Home, the manufacturer's DCP750 and DCP850 are a great addition to the Phillips range and could offer a useful solution for parents embarking on a long car journey with small children.

The DCP750, which comes with a seven-inch screen, is noted for its swivel display, Dolby Digital sounds and "slim lightweight design".

It is noted that the DCP850, which has a slightly larger 8.5-inch swivel monitor, is a dual-screen model and has multiple headphone jacks – making it ideal for the family car or partners on long train journeys.

Last month, Canada.com cited the DCP750 in its list of "games and gizmos perfect for gift-giving"

It was also noted that consumers shopping for an mp3 player should opt for Apple's iPod, stating: "don't kid around with all the pretenders, go straight to the champ."
