Simpsons Movie on Blu-ray by December

This summer's blockbuster cartoon, The Simpsons Movie, is set to be released on Blu-ray by December, it is reported.The Blu-ray and DVD disk versions of the yellow family's adventure will be released together, with the former allowing presentation in full 1080 high-definition video.
Not content with global returns of $500 million (£247.2 million) from the movie version of television's longest running comedy series, the film will be sold at $39.98 on Blu-ray and $29.98 on DVD.
Over a decade of development was put into the Simpsons Movie, in which Homer adulation of his pet pig leads to an environmental disaster in the family's hometown of Springfield.
Two commentaries, deleted scenes, extra gags and an alternative ending are reported to feature on the discs as extras.
Over 50.8 million visits were recorded to UK cinemas between June and August by the Film Distributors' Association with The Simpsons Movie gaining a place among the UK's top 50 cinema hits of all time, the Press Association reports.
