Snazzy new internet tablet from Nokia

Nokia has unveiled a swish new product Now, we know that news of a fab new technologically-advanced product is usually exciting enough to blow your socks off but please refrain from ruining another pair of comfortable tootsie warmers just yet or else you'll get distracted and won't find out all the details!

And we'd hate for you to be un-informed about the latest offering from Nokia - an upgraded Internet Tablet that offers internet calls, Wi-Fi and a whole lot more.

Officially introduced at the Web 2.0 Summit 2007 in San Francisco, California the Nokia N810 Internet Tablet signifies "a new phase in portable internet communication", according to the company.

It can be connected to the nearest Wi-Fi hotspot or over a Bluetooth mobile phone and allows the user to check Google Mail, the ever popular Facebook, watch videos on YouTube and of course make those handy internet calls. What's more, it has built-in maps and sat-nav.

And not only is it functional but it looks nice too, with a rather lovely touch screen and a nifty slide-out keyboard.

Nokia's Ari Virtanen said: "Our new Nokia N810 offers users a true Web 2.0 experience in a compact, stylish, yet affordable package - it connects people to what matters to them."

Expected to start shipping in the middle of next month it will have a recommended retail price of $479 (£234).
