The Simpsons' journey from TV to big screen and back to TV continues this week with the release of The Simpson's Movie on Blu-ray.Television's favourite dysfunctional family made their feature-length debut earlier this year and now the time has come for them to returns to the home arena - but this time in high-definition.
In their first movie outing, Homer finds himself in a race against time to save Springfield after he accidentally causes an epic environmental catastrophe.
According to a review by KM on the Amazon website the quality of the transfer is impressive and should keep fans of the show happy with its vibrant appearance.
"The blu-ray quality is amazing," the review states "really sharp images and plenty of colour. If you're going to buy this film - this is the format to buy it on."
The Blu-ray disc also comes with a host of special features including deleted scenes, an alternate ending, the Simpsons judging American Idol and a range of trailers, among other things.
