2008 Sport calendar 'could boost LCD TV market'

More people could be opting for LCD TV panels as a number of major events on the sporting calendar approach, according to an article for Smarthouse News.The website suggests that the recent "booming" LCD TV market could witness a slowing over the coming months but adds that this is sure to be buoyed by up and coming football games and the Beijing Olympics.
It is reported that Australia in particular will benefit from the timing of the Olympic events, however with a number of events on the UK calendar this could also be the case for British flat screen sales.
February sees the continuation of the UEFA cup and Champions League and with the CIS cup final as well as the FA Cup final in May, football fans will have plenty to look forward to.
This year's Olympics from Beijing run from August 8th until the 24th with the opening ceremony at the country's National Stadium.
