Acer unveils P Series LCD

P Series : New LCD TVs from Acer Global PC manufacturer Acer has introduced a new series of LCD displays to its burgeoning collection of stylish and functional monitors.

The P Series is made up of four panoramic widescreen - 19, 20, 22, and 23 inch - LCD screens, each encased in a glossy black bezel and supported by a silver metallic stand.

The P Series LCDs come outfitted with either DVI or HDMI inputs, allowing for the highest quality of connectivity between monitor and high-definition digital sources, such as PC video cards or next-generation games consoles.

Chris White, director of peripherals product marketing at Acer America, commented: "The P Series displays reflect Acer's ongoing commitment to meeting the needs of consumers.

"From the stylish, glossy piano black finish to the distinctive, flowing edges of the industrial design, the P Series displays coupled with the latest interface technologies - HDMI and DVI - provide users with the highest quality performance for their computing needs."

The 19 inch model has a native resolution of 1440 x 900 and a contrast ratio of 2,000:1, while the 22 inch monitor operates at 1680 x 1050, with a 2,500:1 contrast ratio.

At the top end of the range, the 22 inch LCD has a resolution of 1680 x 1050, while the 24 inch model comes with an HDMI input, a 3,000:1 contrast ratio and a native resolution of 1920 x 1200.
