Aquos range expanded by Sharp

07 Sep 2007 15:00

New Aquos LCD TVs by Sharp (The XL2 and the X20E) Sharp is set to launch two new liquid crystal television ranges as part of its swanky Aquos line-up.

The XL2 and the X20E range of LCD TV's will be released in the autumn this year, quite possibly by the end of October.

Each new telly within both of the ranges will feature the Aquos link function, which lets you control compatible Sharp products with a single remote, as well as SRS tru surround audio systems and three HDMI (1.3) inputs.

The XL2 Series will include the 42-inch LC-42XL2E, the 46-inch LC-46XL2E and the 52-inch LC-52XL2E. These TVs will have Full HD (1920 x 1080) and 100Hz processing.

These sets will be capable of showing double the number of frames that previous LCD TVs can, with the aim of producing better quality fast action images.

The X20E range also features Full HD (1920 x 1080) resolution, but these tellies do not have the 100Hz processing. It will feature the 32-inch LC-32X20E, the 37-inch LC-37X20E, the 42-inch LC-42X20E, the 46-inch LC-46X20E and the 52-inch LC52-X20E.

Prices for these new televisions have yet to be announced.
