Best picture quality could be achieved by Mitsubishi LaserTV

04 Feb 2008 17:29

Mitsubishi's latest offering looks set to transform the HDTV experience This year's expected launch of the Mitsubishi LaserTV could be the most significant development in HDTV during 2008.

Hartford Courant writer Kevin Hunt suggested this in an article outlining the HDTV sets that could impact on the market this year.

Much-improved colour, which will be achieved through utilising lasers, as well as better clarity, contrast ratio and brightness are predicted to benefit viewers.

Mr Hunt wrote that the Miitsubishi LaserTV will be able to produce "the best picture quality seen on an HDTV".

Frank DeMartin, general manager of Mitsubishi Digital Electronics America, seems to agree.

He told I4U news big-screen TV is being "revolutionised" by the laser technology employed by Mitsubishi.

"Precise and focused, the purity of laser light surpasses high definition standards," Mr DeMartin commented.

"Breakthrough laser technology creates a portal to an intensely real and vivid world."

The Hartford Courant article suggests there is not yet a date for when Mitsubishi LaserTVs will be available on the market.
