Brain training moves to the Wii

Nintendo Wii console new game - Big Brain Academy: Wii Degree Have you ever found out what your brain age is? If your answer is no, then you have probably never played the immensely popular Dr Kawashima's Brain Training for Nintendo DS.

Fear not, because despite your utter disregard for this super-fun game, you have a chance to redeem yourself. (By the way, if you answered yes, then read on, because you definitely want to hear about this!)

A game which is very much in tune with the whole ethos of Dr Kawashima's Brain Training has been created for the Nintendo Wii console - Big Brain Academy: Wii Degree.

Wii Degree, as with the other Brain Academy games, involves a variety of timed games, designed to improve your thinking skills, the Associated Press reports. The games are focused on five categories; visualize, compute, identify, memorize and analyze.

Played on the DS, the games make use of the console's touch screen capability, but on the Wii this new game will incorporate the interactive Wiimote and players will be able to use it as a pointing device when attempting one of the 15 challenges. For example, there is a mini-game that involves popping balloons according to a numerical order.

So, will you be busily studying for a Wii Degree? We thought you might be.
