Budget Toshiba is a second-room winner

New budget Tosh: ideal for a second room. A new review has highlighted the latest 20-inch LCD panel from Toshiba as ideal for home cinema fans looking for a second room solution.

In an article for the Trusted Reviews website, it is noted that although it is the larger LCD TV panels that grab all the headlines there is still a market for the budget screen and this is where the 20W330DB fits in.

The review states that there is "a place in any modern home for second or third screens" and states that for those looking to add a flat panel to the kitchen, bedroom or study, the Toshiba 20W330DB will do the job.

HDMI and component video connectivity, 1,366 x 768 resolution and HD ready, the unit is described as "unusually cheap" and although the picture quality is limited the panel is praised for its inclusion of a built in digital tuner.

"Although inevitably the 20W330DB can't break free of all the usual small, budget LCD TV shackles, it certainly outperforms its price point comfortably enough to make it a really great value second-room option," the review concludes.

Toshiba has yet to announce the future of its ill-fated HD DVD format following its demise earlier this year.
