Demand for LCD panels increasing

Here at mangotango, we certainly know a thing or two about technology. In fact, it's fair to say that we can't get enough of the stuff! So you shouldn't be in the least bit surprised when we bring you another piece of interesting news about one of our favourite subjects - televisions.
It seems that the popularity of those snazzy liquid crystal displays is growing relentlessly and according to a reports in the Digitimes LCD panel makers have said that this has shown no sign of slowing.
Vendors have said that demand for 19- and 22-inch sets is very strong in North America at the moment, mainly because so many consumers are intent on having three or four LCD sets in their homes.
The report noted that 19-inch sets currently retail at an average of $299 (£150) while 22-inch sets retail for approximately $350 (£175).
In addition, Digitimes said that 32-inch sets are "the mainstream size in the market" although demand for 42-inch sets is definitely starting to increase.
