High-end plasmas given chart treatment

Panasonic was present in the list Home cinema fans looking to get the best available flat screen televisions have been advised on the top ten high end plasma units in a new review.

According to hdtvorg.co.uk, there are a number of larger screens available between 42 and 65 inches that could be classed as a "high-end plasma TV" and the site offers its views on the best of those.

The site singles out Pioneer's PDP-LX508D with a review rating of 97 per cent and states that the panel is currently "the best TV money can buy".

Pioneer also take second and third place in the chart with the 60-inch PDP-LX608D and the 42-inch PDP-428XD - the screens are credited with a 97 and 96 per cent score respectively and the smaller model is noted for its performance in both standard and high definition.

Panasonic's 50-inch Viera TH-50PZ700 takes fourth place with 91 per cent and is referred to as "hugely accomplished" screen and LG's 60-inch 60PC45 is a "leviathan flat panel bargain" at 90 per cent.

Other models include the Panasonic TH-58PZ700, LG's 60PF95 and Samsung's PS-58P96FD and PS-63P76FD models. The Panasonic TH-65PZ700E takes the tenth place with a score of 88 per cent.
