LG drops the TV for more HD

28 Feb 2008 20:01

LG has previously concentrated on Freeview sets Home cinema fans unimpressed by LG's latest attempts to incorporate Freeview into their LCD TV panels may be interested in the 37LF75, according to a new review.

This week Trusted Reviews looks at LG's 37-inch model and states for those more concerned with a panel's high definition (HD) performance – as well as being available at a reasonable price.

It is reported for under £750, consumers can get their hands on a screen that features full HD resolution, high performance HDMI connections, XD Engine video processing and sleek design.

"[The 37LF75 is] part of LG's new confidently named 'Design Art' series and it lives up to this billing nicely with its shapely high-gloss black bezel, unusual arced bottom edge and cute barrel-shaped stand joint," the review notes.

As well as this, it is noted that the screen is less concerned with incorporating Freeview playback, in the way that recent models such as the LT75 series have been, and instead focus on a "superior-looking" picture.

The site recently reviewed the LG 37-inch model from the LT75 range, noting that it was a "very accomplished" panel.
