LG offer new plasma with double the current contrast ratio

LG's range continues to grow LG has announced it is to launch a plasma TV that delivers the highest contrast ratio available on the global market, it has emerged.

The South Korean manufacturer has revealed details of its G Platform range that should be available with a ratio of 30,000:1 - double the amount currently available.

It is thought that the range, which will come in 32, 42 and 50-inch models as well as full HD panels at 50 and 60-inch, offer sharper colours and darker blacks than have ever been possible from a plasma TV.

LG has issued a statement on the launch telling consumers to expect "exceptionally true colours across the entire spectrum" as well as "a 20 per cent reduced reflection rate".

The company has paid careful attention to reducing eye-fatigue and claims to have ergonomically designed the new units to be more safety conscious both visually and through its optimised sound technology.

LG expressed its commitment to health and safety by announcing an initiative with distributor Al Yousef Electronics, to improve levels of education with regards health and well-being.
