LG offers new Freeview playback LCD

12 Feb 2008 13:24

The LG screen features built in digital TV LG have released a new 37-inch LCD TV screen that offers a great solution for those who do not want to spend money on subscription channels, one review suggests.

According to the Trusted Reviews website, the South Korean manufacturer's 37LT75 model comes with a sufficient built-in hard disk recorder and allows one digital channel to be recorded while the user watches another with dual tuner technology.

It is noted that the 160 GB hard drive is expected to be enough to hold around 57 hours of TV footage and that this can be expanded to 86 hours if recording an analogue signal.

The panel's ease of use is highlighted as one of its most attractive features and suggests that this is one of the reasons that the 37LT75 would be a solid purchase for the novice user.

"This ease of use factor is, of course, essential. For there's a very good chance that the likely buyer of a Freeview playback TV will be a relatively casual AV user; the sort of person only just upgrading from an old analogue TV," the review notes.

Earlier this week, the HDTV news website reviewed LG's latest 42-inch model - the 42PB4DA - and said that the screen offered "terrific" picture quality and connectivity.
