LG unveils 'future of HD TV'

13 Sep 2007 09:25

New plasma and LCD TVs from LG LG Electronic has rolled out its brand new range of HD TVs at Dubai's Gitex Shopper & Consumer Electronics Expo.

The company is drawing attention to the aesthetic appeal of the stylish new plasma and LCD line-up, which it says would make a welcome addition to any "modern home".

And aside from the appealing looks the TVs also boast some impressive stats. Each model is fitted with LG's exclusive XD engine technology, capable of relaying Full HD 1080p sources at their native resolution any reduction in quality.

The (PF9) plasma models are being marketed to sports enthusiast because of their ultra-high refresh rate, which employs 100Hz Driving technology to perfectly capture fast-moving action on screen.

And the flagship LCD series is no less appealing given its ability to transform low-resolution analogue signals into near-HD 1080p levels - which it seamlessly achieves without consequential blurring of distortion.

LG Electronics' Middle East and Africa President, Mr. K. W. Kim, commented: "The immensely successful launch of the Full HD TV models in the Middle East and Africa reflects LG’s leadership as a developer of advanced flat panel displays and digital HD TV technologies."
