Microsoft offers free Xbox 360 game

Microsoft is offering a free Xbox Live Arcade game as consolation for the outages over the festive season. Entitled Undertow, the free game will be available to Xbox Live users - both silver and gold - for download on Wednesday, although it is only available until Sunday.
An aquatic-based shooter, players can enjoy cutting-edge graphics and multiple modes of gameplay action as they strive for control of the virtual oceans.
Microsoft has enjoyed strong sales for the Xbox 360, while Xbox Live now has ten million members.
However this success did not stop outages that caused intermittent disruptions of the gaming service over the holiday period.
According to Microsoft, the three games that are most popular among Xbox Live users at the moment are Halo 3, Call of Duty 4 and PGR 4.
A free Xbox Live trial is also on offer to those who visit the Xbox website.
