The new screen is already on the market HannSpree has launched a new 42-inch LCD TV panel that is as beautiful to look at as it is simple to use, according to a new review.

The Taiwan-based electronics manufacturer's AT XV screen, which comes with a £649.99 price tag, "combines a user-friendly interface with a host of features," an article for the HDTV news website has noted.

It is reported that with a 178-degree viewing angle a built-in digital tuner and an image contrast ratio of 1,500:1 supported by 500 cd/m2 of brightness make the AT XV capable of providing "sharp and rich" visuals.

In terms of connectivity, it is noted that the unit comes with two HDMI connections and a VGA port for PC use and that the panel delivers 1,366 x 768 resolution with an 8ms response time.

Last month HannStar, a division of the electronics company, announced that it had entered into an agreement with Sharp that would allow both manufacturers access to each other's patents on LCD TVs as well as other applications, digitimes.com reports.
