New Hitachi 37-inch offers quality and affordability

20 Feb 2008 13:09

Hitachi offers a wide range of LCD and plasma screens A new 37-inch LCD TV panel from Hitachi has been noted for its "outstanding" connectivity and high performance by Trusted Reviews.

According to a new review for the site, Hitachi - which is more often known for their support of the plasma market - has often delved into the LCD sector with impressive results - and its L37X01 model continues this trend.

The article notes that with three HDMI v1.3 connections and three SCART sockets as well as USB and SD compatibility, the unit should offer more than enough in terms of connectivity and its "opulent" design make it a stylish addition to the room.

A contrast ratio of 900:1 is described as "modest" although it is noted that Hitachi's Picture Master Full HD system and Movie Frame Rate Conversion add to the panel's appeal.

"The L37X01 shows signs of real quality, especially in the image processing department. And it's not a bad price either considering everything it offers," the review concludes.

In 2006, the site reviewed Hitachi's 37-inch 37LD6600 but suggested that the price was too high.
