New Kuro panels 'cause for excitement'

The Pioneer Kuro range is a popular series Pioneer has added to its popular flagship Kuro series with 50 and 60-inch panels that use around two million pixels to build a sharp and impressive picture.

The latest additions to the range of high performance plasma TV screens offer home cinema fans "a million more reasons to get excited", according to a new article for Australian newspaper the Herald Sun.

It is reported that as well as a "staggering" contrast ratio of 20,000:1 the 50-inch PDP-LX508A and 60-inch PDP-608A also offer some of "the deepest black levels in the business".

Colour saturation and accuracy are highlighted by the review as well as smooth picture performance and the article adds that the 50-inch model was recently given the award for Europe's best full-HD plasma by The European Image and Sound Association.

Audioconnection also reports that the LX508A was also given the accolade of Plasma of the Year at the 2007 by Sound & Image awards.
