New LCD panels from CMO

Ooh, thrilling little bit of info for you here mangotangoers. We know how much you like hearing about top-notch LCD panels, and indeed anything technological, so we simply had to tell you about the latest offerings from Chi Mei Optoelectronics (CMO).The Taiwanese electronics firm is to showcase its latest series of LCD panel technologies at the FPD International 2007 in Yokohama, Japan from October 24th to October 26th.
Items featured will be an ultra-thin 13.3-inch notebook panel, mobile panel technologies, and a full HD 57-inch TV panel.
CMO's 57-inch full HD LCD TV panel will offer a contrast ratio of 1,800:1, dynamic contrast of 7,200:1, a response time of 6.5 milliseconds and will use low-colour shift technology to give better colour quality at large viewing angles. It will be used in tellies designed for home-viewing, as well as digital billboards and public information displays.
Mass production of the 57-inch TV panel will begin at the start of next year.
