Samsung continue to update their screens' technology South Korean electronics manufacturer Samsung has released a new LCD TV which it is claiming offers "no ordinary viewing experience."

The 70-inch LA70F91BDX comes with full 1080p high definition (HD), Samsung's own LED Smartlighting technology, as well as a host of other features and an integrated digital TV tuner.

Commenting on the launch of the new screen, Samsung Electronics Australia's marketing manager of audio visual Rod Rodrigues said that the LA70F91BDX is perfect for those looking for the ultimate in home cinema.

"This TV is for the discerning home entertainment purist who is looking for the extraordinary viewing experience … If people want to realise the HDTV revolution, we need to give them reasons to experience it with Samsung," he said.

Samsung's LED Smartlighting technology uses a multiple LED backlighting system that allows the panel to achieve a 500,000:1 contrast ratio.

According to endgadget.com, Samsung unveiled a 70-inch LCD TV panel in 2006 that came with full HD but offered a considerably lower contrast ratio of 2000:1.
