 The Bravia DAV-X10: New home entertainment system from Sony A super swish new television is pretty high on the shopping list of many people, and quite understandably so given how fantastic they are for watching all your fav films and programmes.

The electronics firm is planning to launch the Bravia DAV-X10 home cinema system, which is comprised of a "sleek and chic" telly, two 80-watt front speakers and an 80-watt sub.

Finished in glossy black, the X10 has "light to the touch" controls and comes with Sony's S-Force PRO Front Surround technology. Moreover, it has HDMI compatibility and can play standard DVDs, CDs, and MP3-coded discs, although no word yet as to whether it will play Blu-ray Discs.

It is expected that the Bravia DAV-X10 will be released in September. No recommended retail price has yet been announced.
