New sharp 32in is a budget blinder

The Sharp screen is ideal for families on a budget A new 32-inch LCD panel from Sharp has been singled out as a great entry into the manufacturer's range by a new review.

The Sharp LC32AD5E has been highlighted as a great purchase by Trusted Reviews for those who are looking to buy a flat screen TV but may not have a great deal of money to spend.

It is reported that despite claims by the manufacturer that it is about to introduce a deluge of high-specification models the new TV offers all the style and connectivity that is to be expected from a modern panel with a few added extras thrown in.

"Surprisingly given the TV's price, the features hidden inside its onscreen menus are reasonably plentiful. You get noise reduction and black level boosting possibilities for pictures, along with a film mode that adjusts the progressive scan processing," the review states.

It adds that picture presets designed to maximise the resolution dependent on the source as well as a range of audio options make for an LCD screen that is hard to fault for its price range.

Earlier this month, Vnunet reported that Sharp had forecast that over the next seven years the average LCD TV size for homes in Europe will grow to around 60 inches.
