New slim LCD panel from LG Phillips

Ok all you fans of high-definition televisions. We know that it's Friday, the weather is crisp and delightfully autumnal and you'll have a spring in your step because the weekend is almost here.So, to heighten your good moods here is some fabulous news brought to you by mangotango. LG Phillips LCD has today (October 19th) announced that it is to launch a brand new 42-inch full HD LCD TV panel early next year.
The panel will be much thinner than those currently on the market at just 19.8 millimetres and although there is no definite release date as yet it is thought that it will start being shipped at some point in the first three months of 2008.
According to LG Philips, it is 40 per cent thinner and ten per cent lighter than its conventional 42-inch LCD TV panel counterparts and will be the first ultra slim 42-inch panel.
The ultra-slim 42-inch LCD panel will also feature 120Hz technology and full HD resolution, and is due to be showcased at FPD International 2007 in Yokohama, Japan, which runs from October 24th to October 26th.
