New 'special edition' Aquos launched

The new Aquos range will be limited edition only Sharp has launched a special edition range of its high performance Aquos series that the Japanese manufacturer claims is "stunning", hidden wires.co.uk reports.

The website states that the new Aquos range will offer full 1080p high definition and competitive contrast ratios as well as boasting a range of internet-based services and connectivity options.

Named the Aquos SE94 series, the 65-inch LC-65SE94U, 52-inch LC-52SE94U and 46-inch LC-46SE94U offer extra features that Sharp's senior vice president and group manager of products and marketing Bob Scaglione states will impress consumers.

"The included Aquos Net service makes the television so much more. Not only can consumers access internet-based content, but they can receive enhanced service on their television via an internet connection," he said.

It is reported that the design of the panels has also been carefully thought out and the models are now 28 per cent slimmer than their predecessors as well as being nine per cent lighter.

A recent report from DisplaySearch revealed that Sharp currently has around 10.1 per cent of the global LCD TV market.
