Panasonic plasma offers "bang for the buck"

29 Feb 2008 18:46

Panasonic has been praised for its prices The latest 50-inch plasma TV from Panasonic not only offers high quality and affordability but proves the manufacturer is at the top of its game, according to a review.

This week Silicone Valley correspondent Cliff Edwards looked at Panasonic's new 50PZ77U model and said that as "king of the plasma TV market" the screen could do little to damage the manufacturer's reputation.

He highlighted the price of the unit and suggested that for the number of features on offer, Panasonic was offering plenty of "bang for the buck," according to Business Week.

"By offering a pretty decent feature set and excellent colour detail at such a great price, Panasonic is sure to remain a top seller," he said.

He concluded that there were a number of good and bad points to be taken from the 50PZ77U model but that its high definition picture quality and solid up-conversion were a winning combination.

Panasonic recently upgraded its 103-inch plasma screen and the panel is now expected to cost around $70,000 (£35,537), according to Tech Radar.
