Panasonic unveils 17-inch HDTV

Families can look forward to panasonic's new offering Panasonic has unveiled its new compact 17-inch HDTV to be shipped in five colours from February 15th onwards.

The TH-17LX8 is being released in time for the Olympic Games in Beijing this August. The range comes as Panasonic announces the feature-rich TH-32LX80 LCD HDTV.

Boasting 1,366 x768 pixels of resolution, the TH-17LX8 also has an intelligent backlight controller and dynamic contrast enhancer.

Furthermore, an SD card slot, IP LAN and Viera links, 178 degrees FOV, HD optimizer and 1080/24p HDMI input support are also likely to raise interest among gadget-savvy consumers.

Panasonic, which expects monthly production of the TH-17LX8 to be 30,000 units, is no stranger to HSTV technology.

Among its many products in this area are TX-32LXD70, a 32-inch HD Ready LCD TV and the TX-26LXD70, a 26-inch version.
