Panasonic updates 103-inch plasma

Bigger is better for Panasonic Home cinema fans willing to shell out around $70,000 (£35,537) for one of the biggest screens in the business may be interested to hear it just got a little better.

According to Tech Radar, Panasonic's 103-inch 10 series TH103PF10UK plasma TV will be around the same price as its 9 series predecessors but will come with better features that make it a more realistic purchase.

Citing Earth Times, the website reports that the new screen, which offers full 1080p high definition, will come with better wall mount configuration than its 9-series siblings as well as anti-reflective coating and improved video processing technology, among other things.

Steve May, senior editor of Home Cinema Choice, told TechRadar that he believed the revised TH103PF10UK to be an "extraordinary product aimed at extraordinary people".

"Panasonic appears to have applied all the advances seen on its regular screens to this giant model, which is how it should be," he said.

Last month the New Straits Times of reported that 2007's 103-inch model sold over 3,000 units.
