Panasonic's giant plasma HDTV in NYC City Hall

25 Jul 2007 12:11

The TH-103PH9UK: 103 inch HDTV from Panasonic With many products, bigger is most certainly better. A larger portion of chips, a more comfortable seat at the cinema, a roomier hotel bathroom and, of course, a great big high-quality television.

At present, the world's largest high-def plasma TV is Panasonic's TH-103PH9UK; a 103-inch 1080p Plasma HDTV. Today (Wednesday), one of these monster sets has been installed in the newly renovated City Hall in New York.

New York's mayor and his staff can now watch crystal clear images on the super-size screen, which has been complemented with one of Panasonic's BD-10A Blu-ray Disc players.

The 103-inch set can of course pick up TV channels, but it can also display a live video feed from NYC-TV's City Drive Live traffic cameras.

Providing that you can get it through the front door, you have enough space in your house, and are prepared to shift a few pictures so that it can fit on the wall, this giant of a television from Panasonic may well take your fancy!

If you'd rather go for something slightly smaller, there are lots of other super duper HDTVs on the market.
