Pioneer promises 'world's best TVs'

11 May 2007 14:15

New plasma range launched by Pioneer We at mangotango know how important it is for you to have the latest piece of high-quality home entertainment.

We know lots of other things too, but now is not the time to share them, because we'd much rather tell you about "the world's best plasma TV".

Yes, you heard us correctly, "the world's best". Electronics company Pioneer claims to have created a range of plasma TVs that are better than any of the other similar products currently on sale.

The new range will "incorporate technology that sets new standards in what you expect from flat-screen televisions", and feature screens with black levels 80 per cent deeper than previous models. This is intended to create pictures with sharper details and richer colours.

Products placed under the "world's best" banner include a 50 inch flat screen TV with under-mounted speaker, a 50 inch wall-mounted flat screen TV and a 42 inch flat screen TV with detachable table-top stand.

A statement on the company's website reads: "Flat screen TVs have become commodities. These screens break the mould; bringing uncompromised quality, finely-tuned performance and intelligent design to your living room."
