Samsung launches new luxury LCD range

The manufacturer's new range is pretty in pink Samsung has announced that it will launch a new range of LCD TVs later this year that will focus on "colour and eco-friendliness".

According to the Korea Times, the South Korean manufacturer will launch a 40, 46 and 52-inch version of its Pavv range that could be available to consumers by the end of April.

The newspaper reports that the LCD panels will feature Samsung's Crystal Rose’ design technology, which combine black and rose within their transparent bezels.

Commenting on the launch, a spokesman for the manufacturer said that the screens will remind users of "a crystal artefact" and would be equipped with a number of modern technological features.

"Technologies such as speed backlight and wide colour control [help] to realise clear and deep viewing," the spokesperson said.

Earlier this week, Tech Tree reported that Samsung would be the first company to release a 5400 rpm, 500 gigabyte hard drive for use with PCs and laptops.
