Samsung's new 70" LCD HD ready TV

14 Jun 2007 14:00

Samsung has launched new 70 inch high-definition LCD TV Have you ever found yourself totally and utterly fed up of going to the cinema? Sick of the over-priced popcorn, the sticky floors, the broken air-conditioning and the noisy people sitting to the right, left, front, and back of you?

Well, maybe its time you cast of the shackles of movie-going oppression, and kissed goodbye to a trip to the flicks in favour of plonking down on the sofa in front of a gigantic telly instead.

A fair old few Korean consumers will be certain to do just that, after they were recently introduced to the largest full-HD LCD TV that they can get their hands on.

The new 70-inch TV has an LED backlight to give enhanced picture quality, which can be turned off in dark areas as the electronics firm has installed its local dimming technology, meaning the set has a dynamic contrast ratio of 500,000:1.

It has dual hidden speakers and a rear woofer which combine to produce a rich sound quality, and what's more, this TV is sleekly finished with a "piano black" chrome trim made from titanium and bezel.

But before you think about buying a plane ticket to Korea so you too can be a proud owner of this 70-inch beauty, take note of the fact that Samsung will make this new TV available worldwide by the second half of 2007.
