Stylish LG is 'not just a pretty fascia'

01 Apr 2008 22:58

New LG range 'not just a pretty face' The latest 50PG6000 from LG is as "sumptuous" to look at as one would come to expect from the manufacturer, it has been suggested.

According to an article for the Trusted Reviews website, The South Korean manufacturer and its native rivals at Samsung have led the way in panel design for some time - and this latest entry into LG's cannon is no different.

However, it is not only the "innovative" frameless design and slim bezel that impresses, the website adds that four v1.3 HDMI inputs, component video, optical digital audio and D-Sub PC and USB 2.0 ports add to the screens attraction.

"All in all, it's not hard to see how the 50PG6000 won an Innovation award at this year's Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas," the review notes.

A contrast ratio of 30,000:1, brightness level of 1,500cd/m2 and native resolution of 1,366 x 768 are also on offer in a panel that the site concludes is "far and away LG's finest flat TV to date".
