The eco-friendly LCD TV from Swedx

23 Nov 2007 13:45

You could help protect the environment with one of Swedx's tellies Swedish manufacturer Swedx has come up with an LCD TV that is housed in a wooden casing, perfect for fans of high-definition televisions who are also concerned about the environment.

This HDTV is part of the company's Tree-V range of televisions and is available in a choice of ash, beech or sapele finishes, all of which come partly from a sustainable forest source.

It features a 19-inch Samsung HD-ready panel with a built-in Freeview tuner, as well a contrast ratio of 1,001:1. It also has HDMI, Component, SCART, PC and AV inputs and Nicam sound.

According to Ian Morris, resident TV expert and HD panel connoisseur at review site Crave, Samsung panels are among the best on the market, which is a great selling point for this 'green' telly.

The eco-friendly set will have a recommended retail price of £350 and will be available in time for Christmas.
